Procrastination Loop

Looping statements - 1. "What should I do?" 2. "I must decide!" 3. "Oh...just a bit of Instagram" and then back to statement 1

We've all been there. Stuck in a procrastination loop. A vortex we are both aware of and unable to break. Often this behavior is due to us trying to avoid making a decision. Use this moment to break out of your loop by completing the following 3 steps:

  1. Find the 'what' - Write down what you are trying to make a decision about and the parts of the decision which are causing you concern.
  2. Understand the 'why' - Write down what you are feeling (confusion, frustration, fear, etc) and why it's making you feel this way.
  3. Take action - Select the quickest and easiest action you can take to remove, reduce or challenge (check that it is as worrying as you think) this concern and get started.

You've got this! If you find yourself stuck in a loop again, head back here (bookmark this post) and run through the exercise again.
